Industrial Emission Control
Thermal oxidizers control industrial emissions of volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide, and hazardous air pollutants by combusting them at high temperatures, yielding carbon dioxide and water. In addition to maintaining high temperatures, the thermal oxidizing process must allow sufficient time for complete combustion to occur, and optimize the mix of combustion air with the waste gas.
Although variations in industrial process output may result in an uneven flow of waste gasses into the thermal oxidizer, they are typically in continuous operation at their target temperature to avoid damaging the system, making them an ideal target for heat to power recovery.
In The Process Flow
Process heat is accessible at the thermal oxidizer itself, and at its flue.
MTPV’s EBLADE Power Platform provides a low risk, low complexity solution to waste heat recovery for industries deploying thermal oxidizers.
- Temperature range from typical and hazardous waste destruction is in the ideal range for our first generation product
- Solid state design results in high uptime for continuous operations
- Small form factor means easy retrofits into existing production process infrastructure with minimal interruption and no downtime
Environmental Impact
Effective operation of thermal oxidizers avoids the emissions of hazardous gasses into the environment. With the addition of a waste heat to electricity solution from MTPV, operators can also benefit from converting the resulting waste heat emissions into clean electric power.
